Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 3, 2026
Atlas ("we", "us", or "our") is a native Windows desktop application for managing AWS resources. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using Atlas or visiting cloud-atlas.io, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
a) Website analytics
When you visit cloud-atlas.io, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data, including pages visited, referral source, browser type, and approximate geographic region. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
b) Purchase information
Pro plan purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider. We receive confirmation of your purchase (email address, license key). We do not store or process payment card details — those are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy under their own privacy policy.
c) Support communications
If you contact us at support@cloud-atlas.io, we retain your email address and message content to respond to your inquiry.
d) AWS credentials — stored locally only
Atlas stores your AWS Access Key ID and Secret Access Key locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. We never transmit your AWS credentials to our servers. All AWS API calls are made directly from your machine to AWS endpoints.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Atlas application and website.
- To fulfill Pro plan licenses and send license-related communications.
- To respond to support requests.
- To understand website traffic and improve user experience (via aggregated analytics).
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics 4 — website analytics (Google Privacy Policy)
- Lemon Squeezy — payment processing (Lemon Squeezy Privacy Policy)
- Amazon Web Services — your AWS credentials are used to call AWS APIs directly from your device (AWS Privacy Notice)
4. Data Retention
Analytics data is retained by Google according to their standard retention settings. Purchase records are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes. Support emails are retained for as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry. AWS credentials stored locally are under your full control and can be deleted at any time from within the Atlas application.
5. Cookies
The cloud-atlas.io website uses cookies set by Google Analytics to distinguish visitors and measure usage. No advertising or tracking cookies from third parties are used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.
6. Children's Privacy
Atlas is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
- Object to or restrict our processing of your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@cloud-atlas.io. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect the information we hold. Your AWS credentials are encrypted at rest on your local device. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Atlas or cloud-atlas.io after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
